This month, we’re continuing our pilot program with a trio of experimental IPAs. First up is a Galaxy-dry hopped IPA with notes of bitter grapefruit peel and well rounded bitterness. Second, we’ve got a Calypso/Huell Melon/Belma-dry hopped IPA, with sweet, fruity flavors on top of a crisply fermented west coast IPA. Rounding out the trio is an IPA fermented with an English ale yeast and dry hopped with Azacca and Ekuanot, exhibiting a pleasant tropical fruit aroma. All three of these beers come in at a respectable 6.9%, are calculated to 70 IBU, have a moderate visible haze, and will be rotating through our taprooms depending on availability. It’s always summer in California, so we’ve continued the Fruited Cerveza line with a Strawberry Cerveza. We’ve found that the flavors of strawberry nicely highlight the light bitterness already present in the beer, allowing for a crisp and refreshing drink that oozes summer vibes regardless of the month of the year. Coming down the line, we’ll be tapping an Eggnog – Strong Ale just in time for the end-of-year holidays, which will combine the taste of the aforementioned holiday special with the character of a rich, malty beer, and should help to warm things up even when it’s served cold in a glass. Stay tuned for updates on our Barrel Aged Beer and upcoming EPA and IPA’s.
